In this episode (filmed in the style of the Mac vs. PC commercials) Officer Dan takes on the role of “Machinima” as he faces off against his nemesis Joey, in the role of “Frag Video”.

In the prequel to “Machinima! With Officer Dan”, the titular machinima guru and hapless counter-terrorist hits the streets to determine the extent of the world’s knowledge of machinima, which, to his horror, does not amount to much.

Machinima! With Officer Dan: Episode 1 (2006)

Machinima! With Officer Dan was originally conceived (and ultimately presented) as the opening of a PowerPoint presentation about machinima to the Tribeca Film Festival. It is a basic introduction to the new artform and the first episode in a series of quasi-educational videos about machinima. Counter-terrorist Officer Dan gives a virtual presentation about machinima, discussing box office vs. video game revenues, the origins of the word “machinima”, early history of machinima, and other introductory information.
